申请港澳硕士过程中，个人陈述（Personal Statement）是一项很重要的申请材料。对于大部分申请人来说，PS是一个可发挥空间较大的文书板块，你可以结合自身经历和主观想法来撰写，展示过往经历及申请动机。招生官也可以通过PS更为立体全面地了解申请人，因此PS在一定程度上对录取概率也有影响。

一般一篇PS控制在500-1000字左右（一页A4纸），一些学校的部分专业可能会有特殊要求，具体以专业要求为准。本期，就来看看香港理工大学，今年对PS的要求有哪些：

大部分的特殊要求，主要集中在字数上，也有一些专业直接给出了题目或指定呈现的内容，你只需要选择其中的题目进行命题作文即可：

5点写作注意

1、专注于1-2个主题或经历。

2、解释清楚申请动机。

3、突出学校、课程吸引你的独特之处。

4、评价经历而不是复述他们，例如这个经历是如何影响你的，你从中学到了什么？

5、不要出现语法错误。

5点避坑注意

1、无效信息太多，例如罗列CV中可以直接找到的内容。

2、抱怨社会或生活状况，除非你能提出建设性的批评，并反思他们如何帮助你的。

3、搞错学校名字。

4、把挣钱作为动机，即使你可能申请的是商科。

5、使用陈腔滥调，例如“当我还很小的时候，我觉得这项职业很神圣”。

第一段：自我介绍

你应该于开首的段落简单介绍自己的名字、现正就读的课程、简单自荐为何自己适合就读打算申请的大学及学系；你亦可以简单分享自己的个人成长故事。

1st Paragraph：Self-introduction

You shall tell reader about who you are, what programme you are currently attending, why you are eligible for the desired university and programme, you can even share a brief personal growth story in this very first paragraph.

第二段：学业成就

你应在本段阐述你满意或有所进步的学业成绩，同时详细说明你的学业成就。你可以在这里重点描述你最出色的成就以吸引读者的注意，然后评论你的学业成绩如何令你更进步。

2nd Paragraph：Academic Performance

You shall introduce your satisfactory or progressing academic performance in this paragraph,explain in specific details about your academic achievements, you may highlight your greatest achievement here to get readers 'attention, then conclude this paragraph with a comment on how your academic results motivate you further.

第三段：个人成就

例如：课外活动、比赛奖项、工作经验等。在这一段，你可以介绍那些展现你正面积极的个性，甚至是职业规划的活动和经历，详细解释你在学术知识之外的收获，例如领导力和沟通技巧等，并尝试用真实的例子去证明你拥有这些技能，最后讲述这些经历如何帮助你做好准备，应付未来的个人发展。

3rd Paragraph：Personal Strengths

 (E.g. Extra-curricular Activities, Awards, Work Experience, etc.)

In this paragraph, you can introduce those activities and experiences that display your positive personality or even career planning, explain in details what you have gained aside from academic knowledge, for instance, leadership and communication skills, try to prove the skills with real examples, then summarize this paragraph by telling how those experience helped you prepare for your future personal development.

第四段：总结

在最后一段中，你应重申自己的实力和热情，并再次强调该大学及学系的独特性和吸引之处，强调自己有能力并非常有诚意入读该项目。最后对读者表示感谢，并请求对方给予自己面试机会。

4th Paragraph：Closing

In the last paragraph, you shall restate your strength and passion with the uniqueness of that particular university and programme, make sure that you show your sincere intention to study in the desired programme, and wrap up the personal statement by showing gratitude to the reader and anticipation to attending an interview.
