焕新升级 以爱育爱 | 深圳曼校喜迎新学年

夏末秋初，天朗气清。伴随着期待与欢声笑语，8月22日，深圳曼校迎来了新学年的开学日。宁静的校园再次焕发勃勃生机，我们满怀喜悦与激动，迎接每一位学子“回家”。

暑假期间，学校充分利用假期时光，在师资力量、校园服务、硬件设施三大维度实现全面提质升级，以更大的决心践行“将心注入，以爱育爱”的教育承诺，为新学年的卓越旅程奠定坚实基础。

This new academic year, we are honored to welcome Wendy Yuan, an experienced National Head of MIS with extensive expertise in international education. Holding dual teaching certifications from the United States and Australia, Ms. Yuan brings a wealth of experience in teaching and administration across all educational stages, from basic to higher education. Her profound background in international education includes roles at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and Australia’s Griffith University. 

 Notably, her personal experience of guiding her two daughters to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology serves as a vivid example of international education in practice. This will undoubtedly lead the school to new heights of high-quality development.

Collaborating with Ms. Yuan is Mr. Ben Webster, the Executive Head of MIS from London Academy of Excellence (co-founded by Eton College and Brighton College). As an expert in education, Mr. Webster is dedicated to implementing an educational model that combines academic rigor with holistic development. With extensive experience in boarding education management, he emphasizes fostering leadership and teamwork through sports education, particularly rugby, while integrating mental health support into the daily educational framework. 

Additionally, we welcome a cohort of new teachers with master’s and doctoral degrees from world-renowned institutions. These educators boast impressive academic backgrounds from top universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, the University of Hong Kong, and Peking University, coupled with rich teaching experience and a passion for education. The addition of this "scholar-level" team significantly enhances the depth and breadth of the school’s academic core. They will leverage cutting-edge knowledge and an open-minded perspective to ignite students’ curiosity and creativity, providing robust support for their academic growth and personal development. 

On August 21, the school first welcomed new students for registration day. JuniorsJuniors' students, guided by their teachers, toured the campus, met their homeroom teachers, participated in various adaptive activities, and received welcome gifts. Meanwhile, secondary schoolseniors’  students quickly acclimated to their new environment through boarding orientation, campus tours, orientation activities, uniform fittings, and gift collections. Parents also had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with school leaders and homeroom teachers, participating in relaxed coffee and tea sessions, truly embodying "home and school setting off together." 

On August 22, the full school opening ceremony officially commenced. A grand opening ceremony marked the beginning of the new journey, with various departments organizing rich class activities, fun house events, and a diverse CCA fair,  helping students confidently embark on their new academic year. 

To provide a superior, safe, and comfortable teaching and living environment for both students and faculty, the school has undertaken several meticulous upgrades to its hardware facilities during the summer break.  

The playground, where students unleash their energy and vitality, has been completely renovated with new turf. The fresh lawn is not only vibrant and soft but also features excellent drainage and durability, effectively reducing the risk of sports injuries. This renewed green space will serve as the ideal venue for children to run freely, sweat, and build their physical strength. 

Food is of paramount importance. We understand that delicious and nutritious meals are the energy source for efficient learning and a joyful life. This semester, the school cafeteria will adhere to the philosophy of "Serving with Heart, Cooking with Love," optimizing nutritional meal plans, introducing a wider variety of dishes and international cuisines, strictly selecting fresh and healthy ingredients, and comprehensively enhancing dining service standards. Every student will enjoy a flavorful and memorable dining experience at MIS. 

 As the core area of students’ daily lives, the dormitories have been upgraded to create a warmer, more private, and home-like living experience. This semester, the school is introducing a variety of room types, including single, double, and triple rooms, allowing students to choose according to their personal preferences and needs. This initiative aims to respect each student’s individuality, ensuring that rest becomes a true opportunity for relaxation and recharging. 

Every upgrade stems from a reverence for education, and every change is infused with deep care for students. From personalized academic guidance to attentive daily care, from diverse extracurricular activities to close home-school communication, we firmly believe that the essence of education lies in the transmission of "love," which is reflected in meticulous attention to detail. 

In the new academic year, all faculty and staff at MIS will demonstrate greater determination and more thoughtful actions, permeating the campus with the philosophy of "Nurturing with Love" and "Pursuing Excellence," fully supporting children in becoming the best versions of themselves.
