On the track of international education, the AS year level stands as a critical watershed moment – consolidating foundational knowledge with one hand while leaping towards top university applications with the other. Every subject choice, every competition experience, and every essay polished builds a staircase towards the world's top 50 universities.

PRE年级的学习已经到达尾声，即将升学AS的这个假期也不容马虎，UEC为PRE年级开展了升学选课会，帮助PRE年级的同学早早部署规划，为来年申请冲刺打下扎实的基础。

The PRE year studies are nearing their end, and the upcoming holiday leading into AS is no time for complacency. UEC has organized a Subject Selection Briefing for PRE students to help them plan early and lay a solid foundation for next year's application sprint.

UEC毕业生连续多年保持100%进入世界前50名校的卓越记录，每位学生至少收获5份顶尖大学预录取！英国G5申请率突破95%，展现了UEC学子都有信心冲击更高目标，超过50%的世界前十录取率，也是对同学们实力的最好证明。

UEC graduates have maintained an outstanding record of 100% admission to the world's top 50 universities for consecutive years, with each student receiving at least five offers from prestigious institutions! The application success rate for the UK's G5 universities has surpassed 95%, demonstrating UEC students' confidence in pursuing higher aspirations. Moreover, an acceptance rate of over 50% to the world's top 10 universities stands as the strongest testament to our students' exceptional capabilities.

The partial list of 2025 admissions prominently features prestigious names like Imperial College London, Cambridge, Oxford, demonstrating UEC's formidable strength in university placements.

AS选课直接关联大学专业方向，奠定专业申请基础，需要根据自身情况，结合目标国家地区的要求科学选择，后续升学老师将一对一评估优化。

AS subject choices are directly linked to university major directions and form the foundation for specialized applications. Students need to choose scientifically based on their individual situation and the requirements of their target countries/regions. UEC's university guidance counselors will subsequently provide one-on-one assessments and optimization.

英澳方向：注重学科深度，理工类推荐数学、高等数学、物理、化学、生物、计算机、等科目；文商类需匹配经济、商务、会计、心理、历史、地理等科目。

For UK and Australia Applications:  Focus on subject depth. For Science and Engineering disciplines, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science are recommended. For Business and Humanities disciplines, selecting subjects such as Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, Psychology, History, and Geography is advised.

香港&加拿大方向：学术要求高，灵活度高，而且需提前确认语言成绩（如香港要求申请前提交雅思）升学老师也在现场为大家重点解读了香港方向，介绍AS年级香港精英班的学习规划和升学重点。

Hong Kong & Canada Pathway: Both regions have highly demanding academic requirements and offer great flexibility, but language proficiency scores must be prepared in advance (e.g., Hong Kong requires IELTS scores submitted before applying). Our academic advisors also highlighted the Hong Kong pathway on-site, introducing the academic planning and key aspects of college applications for the AS-level Hong Kong Elite Class.

In the college application process, building a unique competitive edge is particularly crucial. This is essentially about recognizing each student's individual characteristics and strengths, cultivating their comprehensive abilities through diverse activities, thus highlighting their personal uniqueness in their applications.

在学科竞赛UEC学子在2025年国际赛事中表现亮眼，如物理杯、BBO（英国生物测评）、CCC（加拿大化学测评）、NEC（全美经济挑战赛）、袋鼠数学思维赛等均斩获佳绩。

Academic Competitions: UEC students performed exceptionally well in 2025 international competitions, achieving outstanding results in events like the Physics Bowl, BBO (British Biology Olympiad), CCC (Canadian Chemistry Contest), NEC (National Economics Challenge), and the Math Kangaroo.

建议各位同学结合自身专业方向，在AS阶段精选1-2项竞赛集中突破，也可以通过六大志愿服务项目，如社区服务、国际公益等活动，充分展现自己的社会责任感与人文关怀。

Recommendations: Students are advised to select 1-2 competitions closely aligned with their intended major during AS for focused breakthroughs. Participation in UEC's six core volunteering programs (e.g., community service, international philanthropy) is also highly encouraged to fully demonstrate social responsibility and humanitarian concern.
