升学讲座｜香港理工大学招生宣讲会圆满举行，助力ASJ学子把握升学方向

周总监指出，香港理工大学作为一所高度国际化、研究与实践并重的大学，近年来在全球高等教育舞台上表现十分亮眼。根据最新QS排名，香港理工大学位列全球第54位，展现出强劲的科研与教学增长力。学校共有128位学者入选斯坦福大学发布的“全球前2%顶尖科学家”名单，科研实力备受认可。

学校设有7大学院，涵盖工程、人文、设计、商学、科学等多个领域，课程设置兼具职业导向与跨学科特色。其中，2026学年将新增“语言科学与技术”及“体育科学与技术”等前沿本科课程。

Director Zhou pointed out that the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as a highly internationalized university that places equal emphasis on research and practice, has performed very well on the global higher education stage in recent years. According to the latest QS rankings, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University ranks 54th in the world, demonstrating strong growth in scientific research and teaching. A total of 128 scholars from the school were selected into the list of "Top 2% of the World's Top Scientists" released by Stanford University, and their scientific research capabilities are highly recognized.

The school has seven colleges, covering engineering, humanities, design, business, science and other fields. The curriculum is both career-oriented and interdisciplinary.. Among them, cutting-edge undergraduate courses such as "BSc (Hons) in Language Science and Technology" and "BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and Technology" will be added in the 2026 academic year.

Director Zhou dismantled the undergraduate training system of Hong Kong Polytechnic University in detail from multiple dimensions, which aroused strong attention from the students present.

针对同学们最关心的招生政策，周总监也进行了详细的解读。他表示，香港理工大学遵循香港DSE考试的通用要求（核心科目最低332A，选修科目最低 33），但采用“加权计分制”（5**=8.5分、5*=7分、5=5.5分）。其中还有14个课程设有第六科加分机制，鼓励学生全面发展。

此外，学校实施“德艺计划（STARS）”，为在体育、艺术文化、STEM和领导力及社区服务方面有突出表现的学生，提供直接录取、有条件录取或加分等优惠，并有机会获得最高10万港币的专项奖学金。

Director Zhou also gave a detailed explanation of the admissions policy that students are most concerned about. He said that the Hong Kong Polytechnic University follows the general requirements of the Hong Kong DSE examination (minimum 332A in core subjects and minimum 33 in elective subjects), but adopts a "weighted scoring system" (5**=8.5 points, 5*=7 points, 5=5.5 points). In addition, 14 courses have a bonus point mechanism for the sixth subject to encourage students to develop in an all-round way.

In addition, the school implements the "Special Talents Admission and Award Scheme (STARS)" to provide students with outstanding performance in sports, arts and culture, STEM, leadership and community service with discounts such as direct admission, conditional admission or extra points, and the opportunity to receive special scholarships of up to HK$100,000.

Finally, Director Zhou reminded the students that the Hong Kong Polytechnic University organizes a number of activities for secondary school students every year, such as the "Junior Research Mentor Program" and "PolyU Summer Institute" for Form G10 to Form G11 students, as well as various subject competitions for Form G9 to G12 students. These activities are not only an excellent platform for students to explore subject interests and experience university life, but when applying to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, relevant award-winning experience and participation experience will also be actively considered under the "STARS" program.
