最新消息!泰晤士高等教育(THE)更新了2026年世界大学排名!
本次排名上榜高校数量再创历史纪录,全球共有2191所高校上榜本届排名,较2025年度增幅达5%。这是排名史上第二次突破两千所上榜高校的规模,涵盖的国家/地区总数维持在115个。
值得关注的是,美国以171所上榜高校的数量继续稳居全球榜首,英国(109所高校)则与土耳其并列全球第四。

排名方法论:
5大方面18个绩效指标


泰晤士高等教育世界大学排名是全球唯一一个对研究密集型大学的所有核心任务进行评判的全球绩效表,这些核心任务包括教学、科研、知识转移和国际展望。
本次排名基于对近1900万篇研究论文的分析、150万份学术声誉调查投票及全球3000余所高校的详细数据。绩效指标仍然分为5个方面,分别为:教学、研究环境、研究质量、产业和国际展望。

同时,5个一级指标下依旧包含18个细分的绩效指标,具体内容和占比情况如下。
值得关注的是,“出境交换生”(即衡量国内学生获得国际学习机会的指标)是其中一项新指标,虽然目前其权重为零,但将来会被纳入计算中,成为国际展望一级指标的重要补充。

麻省理工学院保持去年的亮眼表现,位列世界第2,是排名最高的美国大学。普林斯顿大学排名上升,开创了有史以来的最佳表现,与剑桥大学双双晋级前3。哈佛大学较去年下降2名,与去年位列第6的斯坦福大学,并列第5。
紧随其后的院校表现如下:加州理工学院排名与去年持平,稳居第7;帝国理工学院排名上升1位,跻身第8;加州大学伯克利分校排名下降1位,位列第 9;耶鲁大学则继续守住前十席位,担任“守门员” 角色。

美国
美国共有7所顶尖高校跻身全球十强,35所跻身百强,依旧占据超三分之一席位。宾夕法尼亚大学(14)、芝加哥大学(15)、约翰斯・霍普金斯大学(16)、康奈尔大学(18)、加州大学洛杉矶分校(18)、哥伦比亚大学(20)校跻身前 20。密歇根安娜堡、卡耐基梅隆、华盛顿、杜克、西北、纽约、佐治亚理工、伊利诺伊香槟、加州圣地亚哥、及德州奥斯汀也都表现亮眼,位列世界前50之列。

英国

聚焦2026年度泰晤士高等教育世界大学排名,天津法拉古特学校2025届毕业生交出亮眼答卷:学子们凭借扎实的学术素养,一举拿下全球前100名高校offer135枚,其中前30顶尖学府offer占27枚,更值得庆祝的是Howard张同学获得了2025届天津唯一的牛津大学录取,帝国理工也收获2枚offer。细分数据也尤为亮眼——排名第22位的伦敦大学学院录取10人,排名第25位的华盛顿大学录取5人;在排名31至60位的高校中,总计收获53枚offer,包括伦敦大学国王学院6枚、伊利诺伊大学-香槟分校11枚、悉尼大学13枚、威斯康辛大学-麦迪逊分校4枚、曼彻斯特大学13枚。这份成绩单,充分展现了法拉古特学子的综合实力,也凸显了学校在培养国际化人才方面的显著成效。

Breaking News! Times Higher Education (THE) has released its 2026 World University Rankings!
This year's rankings feature a record-breaking number of institutions, with 2,191 universities worldwide making the list—a 5% increase from 2025. This marks the second time in the rankings' history that over 2,000 institutions have been included, covering a total of 115 countries and regions.
Notably, the United States remains firmly in first place globally with 171 ranked institutions, while the United Kingdom (109 institutions) is tied with Turkey for fourth place worldwide.

Ranking Methodology:
5 Key Dimensions and 18 Performance Metrics


The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is the only global performance table that assesses all core tasks of research-intensive universities, including teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
This year's rankings are based on an analysis of nearly 19 million research papers, 1.5 million academic reputation survey responses, and detailed data from over 3,000 institutions worldwide. Performance indicators remain grouped into five dimensions: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook.

Meanwhile, the five primary indicators still encompass 18 detailed performance metrics, with their specific contents and weightings as follows.
Notably, “Outbound Exchange Students” (measuring domestic students' access to international learning opportunities) is a new indicator. Although its weight is currently zero, it will be incorporated into future calculations, serving as a crucial supplement to the primary indicator of International Outlook.

Highlights of the Global Top 10 Rankings:
Oxford maintains its top position for the tenth consecutive year, while Princeton achieves its highest ranking in history.


In this year's rankings, the University of Oxford secured the top spot globally for the tenth consecutive year, thanks to its outstanding research environment.

The sole Oxford University offer for the Tianjin region in the Class of 2025 goes to our student Howard Zhang.
MIT maintained its impressive performance from last year, ranking second globally and remaining the highest-ranked U.S. university. Princeton University climbed in the rankings to achieve its best-ever position, joining Cambridge University in the top three. Harvard University dropped two places from last year, tying for fifth with Stanford University, which was ranked sixth last year.
The following institutions performed as follows: California Institute of Technology maintained its seventh-place ranking from last year; Imperial College London climbed one spot to eighth; University of California, Berkeley dropped one position to ninth; and Yale University held onto its top-ten spot, serving as the “gatekeeper.”

Performance of the Top 100 Overseas Universities


Key Highlights of the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings Top 100:

The United States
The United States boasts seven top universities among the world's top ten and 35 among the top 100, still accounting for over one-third of the spots. The University of Pennsylvania (14), the University of Chicago (15), Johns Hopkins University (16), Cornell University (18), the University of California, Los Angeles (18), and Columbia University (20) rank among the top 20. The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Carnegie Mellon University, George Washington University, Duke University, Northwestern University, New York University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of California, San Diego, and The University of Texas at Austin also performed impressively, ranking among the world's top 50 institutions.

The United Kingdom
Eleven institutions ranked among the top 100, with three G5 universities (University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London) placing in the top ten; The other eight UK institutions in the top 100 are: University College London (22), University of Edinburgh (29), King's College London (38), London School of Economics and Political Science (52), University of Manchester (56), University of Bristol (80), University of Glasgow (84), and University of Birmingham (98).

Australia
Among the top 100 universities, the University of Melbourne ranks highest in Australia at 37th place. The other five institutions are: the University of Sydney (53rd), Monash University (58th), the Australian National University (73rd), the University of New South Wales (79th), and the University of Queensland (80th).

Canada
The University of Toronto (21) leads the way, with McGill University (41) and the University of British Columbia (45) also making the top 100.

Asia
In Asia, both the National University of Singapore (ranked 17th) and Nanyang Technological University (ranked 31st) made the list. A total of 97 universities from China’s Mainland were included in this year's World University Rankings, an increase from 94 last year. Tsinghua University retained its position as the 12th-ranked institution globally, continuing to lead China’s Mainland and Asia. The number of China’s Mainland universities ranked among the world's top 40 rose from three last year to five.

Our School's Impressive Report Card



Focusing on the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Farragut School Tianjin's Class of 2025 delivered an impressive performance: Armed with solid academic foundations, our students secured 135 offers from top 100 global universities, including 27 from the world's top 30 institutions. Most notably, Zhang from Howard became Tianjin's sole Oxford University admit for the class of 2025, while Imperial College London extended two offers. Detailed breakdowns reveal further excellence: University College London (ranked 22nd) admitted 10 students, while the University of Washington (ranked 25th) accepted 5. Among institutions ranked 31st to 60th, students received a total of 53 offers, including 6 from King's College London, 11 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 13 from the University of Sydney, 4 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and 13 from the University of Manchester. This impressive record fully demonstrates the comprehensive capabilities of Farragut students and highlights the school's remarkable success in cultivating globally-minded talent.
