September stories | What a Month at CISK!
September brought a surge of energy and warmth to CISK, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter.
Each story this month, whether on the field, in the lab, or beyond the classroom, reflected the joy of learning and the spirit of our community.
Classroom Moments | Science
Students successfully demonstrated the neutralisation reaction through the titration method.
The experiment involved reactions between acids and bases, with phenolphthalein used as an indicator to determine the neutralisation point. Students exhibited strong practical skills and a high standard of performance. Safety was maintained as a top priority, with all students wearing lab coats, goggles, and gloves throughout the activity.
In Pursuit of Passion | Chess Competition
In September, three CISK students participated in the AGIS Chess Tournament and achieved outstanding results.
Chess is not merely about winning or losing. It's about thinking ahead, staying calm, and learning from every move. CISK's young chess players displayed remarkable concentration and perseverance throughout the tournament.
Each participant embodied the true spirit of competition and a deep passion for the game.
At CISK, the value of learning extends far beyond results. It is present in every moment of thoughtful consideration and unwavering perseverance.
Community Interaction |Meet with DKU Basketball Team
On September 19, DKU's women's and men's basketball teams visited CISK to met and interact with over 50 students. The athletes shared their stories, what it means to be a student-athlete, and the benefits of this unique journey.
It’s amazing and valuable for us to share our stories and inspire students to dream big.

Learning Beyond the Classroom | Field Trips
G9/G10/G11 students visited the Six Arts Museum in Suzhou to explore ancient Chinese architectural design.
The trip offered firsthand inspiration for their upcoming Chinese Ancient Architecture Design Exhibition, to be held at CISK in October 2025 — with selected works later showcased at the museum in December.
G6 students also visited the David Hockney's Bigger & Closer exhibition in Shanghai West Bund Museum — another creative day filled with inspiration and discovery.

Learning Never Stops |Professional Development Day
Learning is a lifelong journey, and our teachers are constantly learning, updating their knowledge base, and strengthening their skills.
During the PD Day at the end of September, CISK specially invited Dr. Sisi Chen, who oversees the MAP Testing across all schools in China, to lead a thematic workshop. She guided our teachers in an in-depth exploration of data analysis methods and effective strategies to support students' academic growth.
Following the training, teachers headed to the gym for a relaxed and enjoyable badminton match. The court was filled with laughter as they cheered each other on and exchanged ideas, continuing the consistent team warmth and cohesion that defines CISK.
Belonging and Team Spirit | Spirit Week
This week, the CISK campus came alive with vibrant energy.
Every day brought new surprises from our students:
One day, children livened up the campus wearing quirky wigs and crazy hairstyles.
Another day, they embodied the IB learner qualities and attributes through their outfits.
Under the theme “Who will I be in 25 years?”, they dressed up and seriously voiced their dreams for the first time.
And on yet another day, they expressed CISK's theme colors and spirit through different ways.
Crooked hats, flying hair, even teachers couldn't resist joining in and got into the spirit of the theme.
At that moment, you could feel more than just joy.
You experienced the unique spirit and warmth of CISK: inclusive, relaxed, genuine, and deeply connected.
