良师益友|柏老师:相信学生的可能性,他们的潜能超乎你的想象

走进课堂,每位教师都有着独特的教学风格,担当起“授业、解惑”的职责;放眼校园生活,他们也肩负着“传道”的使命。学生就如成长中的花朵,愈用心浇灌,绽放时便更艳丽。佛山暨大港澳子弟学校推出「良师益友」栏目,讲述老师们在小学、初中、高中课堂上的教学心得,把学生成长“引路人”角色的经验娓娓道来。
Stepping into the classroom, each teacher possesses a unique teaching style, fulfilling the duty of imparting knowledge and resolving doubts. Looking at campus life, they also shoulder the mission of guiding students. Students are like blossoming flowers—the more care they receive, the more vibrantly they bloom. Foshan Jinan University Hong Kong and Macao Children's School presents the “Mentor and Friend” column, sharing teachers' insights from elementary, middle, and high school classrooms. It recounts their experiences as “guides” in students' growth journeys.
在历史课上,他把课堂变得丰富而有趣;在班级里,他把学生凝聚起来,让大家从心底里成为班集体的一份子;在成长路上,他让学生感受到自己的进步,踏出改变的第一步。同时担任历史和中文教学,身兼班主任一职的柏洪强老师,年轻且经验丰富,更重要的是对学生做到以身作则。
In history class, he makes lessons rich and engaging; in the classroom, he unites students, fostering a genuine sense of belonging within the class community; on their journey of growth, he helps students recognize their progress and take that first step toward change. Mr. Pak Hung Keong, who teaches both history and Chinese while also serving as homeroom teacher, is young yet experienced. Most importantly, he leads by example for his students.
History class can be fun too

“当美国军队攻打伊拉克的时候,他们几乎看不到多少美军的身影就已经战败。”在这堂中三的历史课上,柏老师正在和同学们讲述《汉谟拉比法典》的影响。从这部最具代表性的楔形文字法典延伸到美索不达米亚平原、再到现代战争,同学们正津津有味地听着关于“两河流域”的变迁。
" When American forces attacked Iraq, they were defeated almost without seeing many U.S. troops.“ In this Grade 9 history class, Mr. Pak was discussing the influence of the Code of Hammurabi with the students. From this most representative cuneiform code, the discussion extended to the Mesopotamian plain and then to modern warfare. The students listened with great interest to the changes in the ”Twin Rivers Region."

“我比较喜欢结合社会热点和现实生活来讲历史。”柏老师说,除了讲故事,结合课外知识,特别是短视频刷不到的知识,借此希望历史课可以代入他们的生活,同学们不仅觉得学习历史是有趣的,且可以扩展他们的视野,提升他们的认知,同时借助历史知识用全新的视野来认识这个世界。
“I prefer teaching history by connecting it to current social issues and real-life experiences,” said Teacher Bai. Beyond storytelling, she integrates extracurricular knowledge—especially topics not found in short videos—to help students relate history to their lives. This approach not only makes learning history engaging but also broadens their horizons, enhances their understanding, and empowers them to view the world through a fresh lens informed by historical knowledge.

拥有华南师范大学历史学士学位及应用心理学硕士学位,柏老师对于为学生“解惑”也有一套。“让同学们学会从不同角度看问题,”他说,学习不仅仅是为了应试。学生有着各种各样的提问,他总是耐心解答。
With a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Applied Psychology from South China Normal University, Mr. Pak has his own approach to helping students “clear up their doubts.” “I teach students to view issues from different angles,” he says, emphasizing that learning extends beyond exam preparation. He patiently addresses the diverse questions his students bring to him.
Teacher-student relationships foster a united
and caring classroom

一场再简单不过的拔河比赛,可以看出一个班级的凝聚力,看出大家有没有相互接纳成为伙伴。除了是一名科任老师,柏老师还是众多班主任的其中之一。回忆起自己带的上一个班级,他提及到这段获得年级冠军的经历。
在那场拉扯近40秒的拔河比赛中,柏老师在比赛前就有和同学们进行比赛的心理培训:当你在抖的时候,对方也快坚持不住了,你坚持多一秒,你就赢了。那场比赛班上同学的表现完美展示了班级凝聚力,把班级看作一个属于自己的“家”,才能激起班上同学共同为之奋斗的力量。
A simple tug-of-war contest reveals a class's cohesion and whether its members have embraced each other as teammates. Beyond being a subject teacher, Mr. Pak also serves as one of many homeroom teachers. Recalling his previous class, he mentioned their experience winning the grade championship.
In that nearly 40-second tug-of-war match, Teacher Bai had mentally prepared the students beforehand: “When you start shaking, your opponents are also nearing their limit. Hold on just one more second, and you win.” The students' performance in that match perfectly demonstrated the class's cohesion. Only by viewing the class as their own “home” could they ignite the collective strength to strive together.

而柏老师的角色,很显然是一名以身作则、说到做到的“家长”。但他并不热衷于说教,而是用恰当的方式让学生接受,不能因为自己年纪尚小就肆意犯错。
“必须让学生明白到,老师是理解和尊重我的。”柏老师认为,亦师亦友的师生关系更有利于因材施教,帮助学生找到属于自己的“赛道”。
Mr. Pak's role is clearly that of a “parent” who leads by example and follows through on his words. Yet he avoids lecturing, instead guiding students to understand through appropriate methods that they shouldn't make reckless mistakes simply because they are young.
“Students must realize that their teacher understands and respects them,” Mr. Pak believes. He feels that a teacher-student relationship that combines mentorship and friendship better facilitates tailored instruction, helping students find their own path.

从教十年,在佛山暨大港澳子弟学校创校以来服务至今,柏老师一直秉承着“教育不是改变一个人,而是帮助他发现自己。”这句教育格言。站在班主任的角色,柏老师善于观察,并把不同的事情交给不同的学生,为大家“量身定做”成长方案。
For ten years in education, serving at Foshan Jinan University Hong Kong and Macao Children's School since its founding, Mr. Pak has consistently upheld the educational maxim: “Education is not about changing a person, but helping them discover themselves.” As a homeroom teacher, Teacher Bai excels at observation, assigning diverse tasks to different students and crafting tailored growth plans for each.

有不适应新班级、缺少归属感的同学,让其分担班级事务;久而久之,对班级的贡献大了,被同学认可,学习状态也大有提升。“我和学生说,我觉得你可以做得更好,超出我的想象。”
学生极具个性和特长,积极寻求成长,于是,一场家长会顺理成章地成为了由同学们共同策划和执行的汇报大会,学生主持、学生演出,学生向家长展示属于自己的光。
Students who struggle to adapt to a new class or lack a sense of belonging are given responsibilities within the class. Over time, as their contributions to the class grow and they gain recognition from peers, their academic performance significantly improves. “I tell my students, ‘I believe you can do better—beyond what I imagined.’”
Students possess unique personalities and talents, actively seeking growth. Thus, a parent-teacher conference naturally evolved into a presentation event planned and executed entirely by the students themselves—students hosting, students performing, students showcasing their own brilliance to parents.
“我最开始也抱有怀疑的态度,但是我选择相信同学们,让他们能够争取机会展现自己的成长。”把课堂变有趣,把班级凝聚成一股力量,柏老师和同学们的故事还在继续。
At first, I was skeptical too, but I chose to trust my students and give them the chance to showcase their growth. By making classes engaging and uniting the class into a cohesive force, Teacher Bai and his students' journey continues.
