As a private bilingual school with international characteristics, Ardingly College of Zhongshan (ACZS) takes "Learn for Change the World" as its school motto. It is committed to cultivating students' sense of homeland, international perspective, and global competence. On the basis of fully implementing the national curriculum, it strengthens the development of students' multilingual abilities with a focus on Chinese and English, implements holistic education, as well as characteristic education in art, physical education, and technology, helping students smoothly achieve diversified pathways through both domestic and international.
学校倡导“平等、仁爱、合作、创造”的校风,因材施教,发掘每一位学生的兴趣和潜力,并激发内驱力,培养他们成为开拓者、冒险者、问题解决者和终身学习者。学校于2022年9月创办,位于粤港澳大湾区几何腹地中山市岐江新城,占地面积6.5万平方米、建筑面积13万平方米,涵盖幼儿园、小学、初中、高中四个学段。
The school advocates a school spirit of "equality, caring, cooperation, and innovation". It teaches students in accordance with their aptitudes, explores the interests and potentials of each student, stimulates their internal motivation, and cultivates them into pioneers, adventurers, problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. Founded in September 2022, the school is located in Qijiang New Town, Zhongshan City, the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. It covers an area of 65,000 square meters and a building area of 130,000 square meters, encompassing four school divs: kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, and senior high school.

Purpose of the Academic Integrity Policy
中山市弘科未来学校小学部为适龄学生致⼒于提供严谨的学术课程,⼒求在所有课程领域挑战和激励学⽣,从⽽为他们提供实现其全部潜⼒的机会。中山市弘科未来学校小学部的⽬标是促进学⽣的成⻓,不仅在中山市弘科未来学校,⽽在更⼴泛的全球社区中成为具有原则、开明和平衡的楷模。
The Ardingly College of Zhongshan (ACZS) is committed to providing rigorous academic courses for school-age students, striving to challenge and inspire students in all curriculum areas, thereby offering them opportunities to realize their full potential. The goal of ACZS is to promote students' growth, making them models of being principled, open-minded, and balanced not only within the school but also in the broader global community.
本政策的⽬的是向学⽣及其家⻓清楚说明中山市弘科未来学校小学部课程中“学术诚信”的关键要求。学术诚信是指学⽣创作原创作品并承认他⼈的思想和贡献的过程和⽅式。
The purpose of this policy is to clearly explain to students and their parents the key requirements of "academic integrity" in the curriculum of ACZS. Academic integrity refers to the process and way in which students create original works and acknowledge the ideas and contributions of others.

Academic integrity is part of being "principled", which is a characteristic of a learner. When we question, inquire, and act, learners strive to be "upright and honest". (Academic Integrity in the IB Educational Context, 2016, p3).
学术诚信在学校、IB组织、⼤学和雇主中都受到⾼度重视。学术不端⾏为被视为违背所希望传授和维护的价值观的严重⾏为。对故意的学术不端⾏为绝对不能容忍。在促进学⽣和教职员⼯之间的学术诚信的过程中,中山市弘科未来小学部旨在灌输与学校使命声明和 IB 学习者概要所阐明⽬标核⼼相关的价值观;也就是说,我们旨在培养富有资源、有原则和诚实的学⽣。在这⽅⾯,学校认识到培养擅⻓且知识渊博的学⽣,他们能够研究、使⽤和承认他⼈的知识产权的重要性。
Academic integrity is highly valued in schools, IB organizations, universities, and employers. Academic misconduct is regarded as a serious act that violates the values that are intended to be taught and maintained. Deliberate academic misconduct will not be tolerated under any circumstances. In the process of promoting academic integrity among students and staff, ACZS aims to inculcate values that are core to the goals articulated in the school's mission statement and the IB Learner Profile; that is, we aim to cultivate resourceful, principled, and honest students. In this regard, the school recognizes the importance of developing proficient and knowledgeable students who can research, use, and acknowledge the intellectual property of others.

The IB Academic Honesty Policy defines malpractice “as behavior that results in, or may result in, the candidate or any other candidate gaining an unfair advantage in one or more assessment component”. (Diploma Programme Academic honesty, 2019 p3) The IB does not separate intentional and unintentional when malpractice is identified. Malpractice includes:

Plagiarism: Presenting the words or ideas of others as one's own. This may include copying the work of other authors or speakers without proper citation, or paraphrasing without acknowledgment. This includes failing to acknowledge sources from internet sites for diagrams, tables, images, photos, or information.

Collusion: Defined by the IB as "supporting another candidate's malpractice, such as allowing others to copy or submit one's assessment". This form of malpractice is often misunderstood by students. If a student allows another student to access their work, and the other student submits components of that work, both students will be found guilty of malpractice, even if it is unintentional. Students can collaborate on some assessment tasks, but when this happens, students must ensure that the final work is completed independently, even if it may be based on the same or similar data as other students.

Falsification of data: Intentionally fabricating statistics, examples, and evidence for assessment tasks or as records of actions is not allowed. It is considered to give students an unfair advantage in assessment components and is classified as malpractice.

Examination misconduct:Disturbing or distracting other students during exams is an example of misconduct. Artificial Intelligence:At ACZS,we fully recognize the importance of equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to use artificial intelligence (AI) safely, ethically, and responsibly in their academic pursuits. We are committed to creating a supportive environment where students can explore the potential applications of AI while upholding the principles of academic integrity and guidelines for responsible use. Students are not permitted to access AI tools via their personal devices; however, teachers may demonstrate the use of AI to students in a variety of ways.

The IB does not prescribe any specific formatting and style system. However, students must use and consistently apply the style they choose to complete their tasks. 政策审核流程
Policy Review Process
学术诚信政策可供所有教职员⼯、学⽣和家庭查阅。该政策会定期向整个学校社区传达 。该政策⽂件将受到持续监督。在协调员认为有必要时,将对其进⾏审查,但绝对不会晚于发布⽇期后的5年。项⽬协调员将通过规划会议、课堂访问和评估来确保其实施。
The academic integrity policy is available for review by all staff, students, and families. The policy is regularly communicated to the entire school community. This policy document will be subject to continuous monitoring. It will be reviewed when the coordinator deems it necessary, but absolutely no later than 5 years after the date of publication. The program coordinator will ensure its implementation through planning meetings, classroom visits, and assessments.
