As a private bilingual school with international characteristics, Ardingly College of Zhongshan (ACZS) takes "Learn for Change the World" as its school motto. It is committed to cultivating students' sense of homeland, international perspective, and global competence. On the basis of fully implementing the national curriculum, it strengthens the development of students' multilingual abilities with a focus on Chinese and English, implements holistic education, as well as characteristic education in art, physical education, and technology, helping students smoothly achieve diversified pathways through both domestic and international.
学校倡导“平等、仁爱、合作、创造”的校风,因材施教,发掘每一位学生的兴趣和潜力,并激发内驱力,培养他们成为开拓者、冒险者、问题解决者和终身学习者。学校于2022年9月创办,位于粤港澳大湾区几何腹地中山市岐江新城,占地面积6.5万平方米、建筑面积13万平方米,涵盖幼儿园、小学、初中、高中四个学段。
The school advocates a school spirit of "equality, caring, cooperation, and innovation". It teaches students in accordance with their aptitudes, explores the interests and potentials of each student, stimulates their internal motivation, and cultivates them into pioneers, adventurers, problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. Founded in September 2022, the school is located in Qijiang New Town, Zhongshan City, the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. It covers an area of 65,000 square meters and a building area of 130,000 square meters, encompassing four school divs: kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, and senior high school.

Language Profile
目前学校PYP学生占学生总人数65%,学生母语为汉语,超过 30%学生可以说粤语。英语为他们的第二语言。大部分的PYP学生能够用母语和英语进行交流和表达。
Currently, PYP students account for 65% of the total student population. Their mother tongue is Chinese, and more than 30% of them can speak Cantonese. English is their second language. Most PYP students can communicate and express themselves in both their mother tongue and English.

ACZS believes that multilingual learning is a right and resource for students. Multilingualism refers to the ability to use more than one language. It is a means to cultivate students' international thinking and also enables them to communicate with different groups of people and learn about cultural differences. Students with multilingual abilities have improved cognitive abilities, especially in thinking and analyzing language structures and patterns.

The languages of instruction at ACZS are English and Chinese. Our courses are taught by bilingual teachers, who adjust the proportion of Chinese and English instruction according to students' developmental needs. Bilingualism (Chinese and English) is used with parents and the school community. At the same time, we encourage and support students' multilingual development. The school offers Spanish courses and extracurricular activity programs to provide students with opportunities to learn languages other than English and Chinese.

ACZS recognizes that the mother tongue is an integral part of a person's identity, and it is important to affirm its value and promote the development of students' mother tongue. The school recognizes that multilingualism is an important part of the typical classroom at ACZS. Process of Language Policy Development and Revision

The formulation and revision of the language policy will be led by school leaders, administrators, and relevant teachers, who revise the language policy every school year.
