请告诉孩子起床之后要自己叠被子、穿衣服;
自己的绘本玩具要自己收拾;

The joyful summer holidays are quickly coming to an end, and the time to return to school is just around the corner. To help our little ones smoothly transition back to kindergarten, we've prepared a "Back to School Guide." Let's work together to get ready for the new school term!
A Guide for New Parents

Helping your child smoothly navigate the anxiety of separation is a concern for every parent of a new student. Here are some suggestions and methods to assist your child in adapting more quickly to life at kindergarten.

1
Introduce Your Child to the Kindergarten
Environment in Advance
Take your child for a stroll around the kindergarten. Together, you can peek at the exciting large toys and beautiful plants and trees. This will surely spark their eagerness to explore! It's also important to let your child know that every little friend goes to kindergarten—it's a wonderful, fun, and happy place. Avoid sending your child to kindergarten without any prior introduction or preparation.

2
Managing Tears and Tantrums
During the first few days of school, crying and tantrums are almost inevitable. At this time, it's important for parents to maintain a positive mindset and avoid prolonged goodbyes. Collaborate with the teachers to help your child overcome this "separation anxiety" phase.

3
Coping with Illness When Starting School
Some children may fall ill shortly after starting school, leading some parents to worry if the teachers are providing adequate care. Illness can occur due to factors such as low immunity, stress-induced anxiety, and poor appetite. These issues tend to improve as the child adjusts to the school environment.

4
Encouraging Your Child to Express
Their Needs
Teach your child to speak up when they need the teacher's help, particularly when they need to use the toilet or if they feel unwell. For example, they could say, "Teacher, I need to go to the toilet," or "I have a headache, my tummy hurts." Before starting school, offer encouraging words like, "The teacher will like you just as much as Mummy does and will take good care of you." Such positive reinforcement can have a significant impact on your child's confidence.

5
Using Picture Books to Ease
Separation Anxiety
Utilising picture books can help your child understand kindergarten life. You can also play pretend "going to kindergarten" games at home to build positive feelings towards school. Recommended books include I Love Kindergarten, Tom Goes to Kindergarten, A Day at Kindergarten, and A Pocket Full of Kisses.

Separation anxiety is not a "trouble," but a small test on a child's journey of growth; kindergarten adaptation is not a "task," but a precious process for parents to accompany their children in learning to be independent. When a child takes your hand and steps through the kindergarten gate, the step they take is not only a step "away from home," but more importantly, the first step to "meet new friends and explore the new world." With a little more patience and a bit more encouragement, children will be braver than we imagine, and will also fall in love with every day at kindergarten more quickly.

Focus Guide

In order to help children adapt to the new school semester quickly and effectively, and to experience more joy and growth, the kindergarten has prepared this "getting back on track" plan. We hope that parents and the kindergarten can work together to help children overcome "back-to-school anxiety" and welcome the new semester in the best possible state.

1
Restore Regular Sleep Schedule
How has your child's sleep routine been during the holidays? Have they been taking naps? It is important to help children get back to going to bed and waking up early. In the upcoming days, try to have your child wake up, sleep, study, and exercise at the regular school times to establish a consistent routine with the kindergarten schedule. Before bedtime, you may wish to engage in activities such as reading, listening to music, and having conversations with your child to create a calm atmosphere before falling asleep.

2
Adjust Eating Habits
During the holidays, with various delicious dishes at home, many children may indulge in snacks, leading to irregular eating habits or even binge eating. To help children smoothly adapt to the kindergarten's meals, parents should assist children in returning to their pre-holiday eating habits. Encourage them to have three meals a day on time, consume less oily and snack foods, eat more fruits and vegetables, and ensure an adequate intake of water every day.

3
Foster Self-care Abilities
During the holidays, parents often assist children with many tasks. It is recommended that parents encourage children to feed themselves, dress themselves, and handle personal hygiene independently in the days leading up to the start of school. Allow children to complete these tasks by themselves and patiently wait for them to do so to slowly cultivate their independence and good habits. Specific actions can include:
Encourage children to make their own bed and dress themselves after waking up.
Teach children to tidy up their own picture books and toys.
Assign age-appropriate household chores for children to do.
These seemingly simple tasks can effectively assist children to be independent, learn to share responsibilities, and develop a sense of independence at the right time.

4
Prepare Emotional Condition
It is best for parents to remind children occasionally in the days leading up to the start of school that they will be going back to kindergarten soon. Make sure the child is subconsciously aware that holiday life is coming to an end and any negative emotions associated with it should be dealt with before the start of school. While reminding the child, help them recall happy experiences from the previous semester at the kindergarten. For example: fun games with friends, a teacher expressing how much they like the child, or any progress or praise the child received in the previous semester. These positive and uplifting memories will create a strong desire for the child to return to kindergarten eagerly.

"Getting back into the swing of things" is not about forcing children to behave perfectly right away, but about helping them adjust their state gradually; "preparation" is not about parents being busy alone, but about parents and children moving towards the new semester together. As parents, we can start by putting down our phones and implementing the "Getting Back on Track Plan" with our children: for example, making a "daily schedule" together, having a competition to see who can tidy up toys faster, and using our own actions to show children that "a regular routine is fun and the new semester is worth looking forward to."

The new semester is about to kick off, and once again, we align our paces in home-kindergarten co-education. Let us join hands, with a calm mindset and proactive actions, to accompany our children in calmly greeting this new starting point and happily embarking on another year's journey of learning and exploration. We look forward to seeing every bright smiling face and embracing every moment of growth on campus, where the autumn light is just right!
