在这里，孩子们从神秘的蔚蓝世界出发，在感官游戏、科学实验和戏剧扮演的海洋中尽情遨游，激发无限好奇；在精心创设的海洋环境里自信表达、协作探索。通过一系列精彩纷呈的活动，他们感知宏观的海洋生态，实践探索与创造，最终在《彩虹鱼》的闪耀舞台上收获成长与喜悦。现在，就让我们一起潜入这场充满惊奇与发现的深海探险吧！

启发点——从《海底总动员》潜入海洋世界

我们以全园观看《海底总动员》电影开启了海洋主题单元！孩子们被这个关于海洋冒险、友谊与家庭的温暖故事深深吸引。电影点燃了孩子们对海洋生物的好奇，为后续探索奠定了完美基础。观影时，孩子们分享零食、友爱互动，自然培养了合作精神。

Each Unit of BeeMee's IEYC Curriculum has an exciting theme and developmental goals. Combined with the UK National EYFS Framework, which is based on holistic inquiry and game teaching methods, learning is tailored to meet individual learning and development needs of children. Through multi-cultural development and international perspective each child is prepared academically and emotionally as future global citizens.

In the wondrous journey of children exploring the world, every immersive exploration lights the beacon of wisdom. This July, amidst the season brimming with passion, our little adventurers from the K2B Waxberry Class at BeeMee Forest Academy Xiangfu Campus embarked on an extraordinary deep-sea voyage inspired by Finding Nemo, launching the IEYC theme unit "Ocean Treasures: Our Exciting Journey Beneath the Waves"!

Setting sail from the mysterious azure world, the children navigated oceans of sensory play, scientific experiments, and dramatic role-play, stimulating boundless curiosity; they expressed themselves confidently and collaborated fearlessly within carefully crafted marine environments. Through a series of captivating activities, they gained insights into the grand marine ecosystem, practiced hands-on exploration and creation, and ultimately harvested growth and joy on the glittering stage of The Rainbow Fish. Now, let’s dive into this deep-sea adventure brimming with wonders and discoveries!

Entry Point - Diving In with Finding Nemo

We began our Ocean Treasures unit with a special whole-school movie morning watching Finding Nemo! The children were captivated by this heartwarming tale of ocean adventure, friendship, and family. It sparked their curiosity about marine life and set the perfect tone for our under-the-sea explorations. During the movie, children shared snacks and enjoyed the company of their friends, nurturing kindness and cooperation.

Capturing Curiosity - Exploring Ocean Wonders

Our curiosity grew as we embarked on fun activities designed to deepen the children’s fascination with the ocean world. The children eagerly hunted for hidden ocean treasures and sea creatures, sharpening their observation and vocabulary skills.

Sensory play in the pools and mud pits encouraged hands-on discovery, while movement games where the children pretended to be sea creatures helped them connect physically with ocean life.

These engaging experiences sparked lively conversations, helping develop language, social skills, and imaginative thinking.

Enable the Environment - Bringing the Ocean to Life

To fully immerse the children in the theme, our classroom added ocean-themed resources that inspired creativity and exploration in the roleplay and small world areas.

We also celebrated the warm weather with special pool activities and water parties! The children enjoyed diving for treasure, playing with water toys, and working together during team water fights. These joyful outdoor sessions encouraged physical development, teamwork, and strengthened friendships across our K2 classes.

The Big Picture - Learning About Our Ocean Home

Throughout the unit, we explored fascinating facts about ocean animals through songs, stories, and group discussions. The children learned about different sea creatures, their habitats, and how we can care for our oceans to protect marine life. These conversations nurtured empathy and responsibility towards the environment.

Explore and Express - Bringing Stories and Science to Life

Our learning deepened with a variety of creative and scientific activities. The children practised their coding and problem-solving skills by guiding hermit crabs through mazes using the Code-a-Pillar, linking technology with ocean exploration.

Excitement grew as we rehearsed our Rainbow Fish graduation performance. The children practised their lines and stage movements with enthusiasm and confidence, bringing the story’s message of kindness and sharing to life.

We also delved into scientific inquiry, experimenting with waves and bubbles to understand how natural phenomena work in the ocean, supporting early STEM learning through hands-on discovery.

Exit Point - Our Spectacular Rainbow Fish Performance

To celebrate the end of our Ocean Treasures journey, the children performed a wonderful graduation show based on The Rainbow Fish. They proudly wore costumes, spoke their lines clearly, and performed with joy and confidence.

This special performance highlighted all they have learned about friendship, sharing, and the magic of the ocean, bringing together creativity, communication, and teamwork in a memorable celebration for families and our school community.

Growth Blossoms in Every Moment

As the curtain fell on The Rainbow Fish performance, K2B Waxberry Class's "Ocean Treasures" journey reached its perfect finale—yet the children's bond with the sea endures. Throughout this voyage, they not only witnessed the ocean's kaleidoscopic beauty with their eyes and felt seawater's gentle touch with their hands, but also embraced with their hearts the preciousness of friendship, the joy of sharing, and the meaning of stewardship.

From the first sprout of curiosity to the blossoming of confidence, from solitary exploration to teamwork, every fleeting moment bears the imprint of growth. Perhaps someday, carrying the "seed of the ocean" planted today, they will continue seeking the mysteries of the deep—but already, the courage and passion kindled by this journey have become their compass to explore wider worlds.
