Robots are the Future!

At a recent fieldtrip to VW’s main Production plant on Friday 7th March business students from Grades 11 and 12 had a chance to witness the 1229  robots building new cars at the modern and huge 500,000 square metre VW plant ( 140.000 square meters of Bodyshop).

Mr. Thomas Schinke, Director of Bodyshop, spent 90 minutes showing students around the amazingly modern factory and explaining in detail the production process and the challenges and opportunities facing VW when they set up this factory in Hefei.

Students also used Virtual reality to see how cars are assembled and our hosts provided snacks and drinks for our students.

21 students participated in the tour which complements their Business Management course at CISH.
