Hippo English Olympiad World Finals

G8 Xavi Boortz participated in the World Hippo Finals which were held in Assisi, Italy from September 23rd to September 26th. Xavi was 1 of 13 students from China who achieved World Honors in the National Round in Hong Kong and advanced to the Finals in Assisi. 120 students from 56 countries participated in the Finals.

The Final Round consisted of 5 examinations: speaking, listening, reading, writing, and the Hippo Finals Test.

In addition to examinations, students who qualified for the Finals got a chance to see the historic sights of Assisi. Assisi is recognized for its postcard-like charm, valuable art, and historic buildings. Sights include Rocca Maggiore, a medieval fortress that was built in the 12th century, and the Roman Forum, a well-preserved archaeological site that dates back to the 1st century BC.
