画笔下的潮汕文化：传统与现代的美学碰撞 Dai Xiaoman’s Exhibition Recap
11月初，佛山霍利斯迎来本学年首场艺术展览，戴小曼作品展《筑·迹》。这场展览集中展现了艺术家戴小曼对文化与人文精神的深刻探索。她以画笔为引，串联个人记忆、地域传统与全球视野，构建出一套兼具本土文脉与国际视野的独特艺术体系，打造出超越时空的文化空间。
戴小曼是一位青年艺术家，是国家三级美术师，澳门城市大学艺术学博士，广州商学院副教授。2016年她被日本东京艺术大学录取为国际交换生，赴日留学，就读日本画科第二研究室。这个经历让她拥有国际化的艺术视野与跨文化沟通能力。她具备深厚的艺术绘画功底与持续的社会实践能力。她的作品曾获国家级奖项五项，省部级奖项23项，市、校级奖项4项。
主要成就:
1.《年味》入选“第十三届全国美术作品展”（2019-12），入选“第四届全国壁画大展”（2019-09）
2. 《月是故乡明》入选“美丽中国梦七彩云南——全国中国画作品展”（2016-11），入选“学院——全国青年教师中国学术邀请展”（2023-05）
3.《节庆》入选“2022中国壁画作品展览”（2023-04）
展览围绕四大核心主题展开，通过艺术家对潮汕传统民居与本土节日习俗的生动刻画，带领观众开启了一段意蕴深厚的艺术之旅。学生们也透过这些作品，深刻领略到文化遗产在当代语境下的传承延续与创新演绎。
11月，我们有幸在霍利斯画廊展出艺术家戴小曼的作品。学生们得以近距离接触艺术家的原作，沉浸在兼具本土特色与域外风情的建筑画作之中，这段体验十分难得。这些作品让学生们见证了塑造自我身份与记忆的多元视角，以及背后蕴含的文化影响力。
展览闭幕前夕，我们还荣幸地邀请到艺术家本人前来学校开设工作坊。学生们借此机会，亲身体验了艺术家创作那些意境悠远的作品时所运用的技法与创作流程。整场工作坊中，学生们全程投入、备受启发。这段宝贵的经历有效提升了他们的创造力与实践能力，而这些能力，对于他们在艺术学科领域持续深耕、斩获佳绩至关重要。

Earlier in November, LEH Foshan hosted its first art exhibition of the academic year, Dai Xiaoman’s Exhibition: Echoes of Home, Vision of Beyond. This exhibition presented a deep and far-reaching exploration of culture and the human spirit by artist Dai Xiaoman. She uses her brush to navigate personal memory, regional traditions, and a global perspective. She builds a unique artistic system that bridges local heritage and a worldly orientation, creating a cultural space which transcends time and place.
Dai Xiaoman, a talented artist, studied in Macau and Japan, and holds the title of National Grade Three Artist and serves as an Associate Professor at Guangzhou College of Commerce. She got her Doctor of Fine Arts from the City University of Macau. In 2016, she furthered her studies internationally as an exchange student at Tokyo University of the Arts, where she joined the Second researching studio of Japanese Painting. Her deeply skilled and socially engaged practice has garnered significant recognition, including five national and 23 provincial awards.
Major Achievements:
"Spirit of Chinese New Year"《年味》was selected for the "13th National Fine Arts Exhibition" (2019) and the "4th National Mural Exhibition" (2019).
"Hometown Moon"《月是故乡明》 was selected for the "Beautiful China, Colourful Yunnan – National Chinese Painting Exhibition" (2016) and the "Academy – National Young Teachers Chinese Painting Academic Invitational Exhibition" (2023).
"Celebration"《节庆》was selected for the "2022 Chinese Mural Artworks Exhibition" (2023).
Centered on four core themes, the exhibition took visitors on a profound journey through the artist’s vivid portrayals of traditional Chaoshan dwellings and local festive customs. Through these works, students gained a profound appreciation for the continuity and creative reinterpretation of cultural heritage in a contemporary context.
We were fortunate to exhibit the work of artist Dai Xiaoman in the Holles Gallery in November. It has been wonderful for the students to experience artist's work first hand and immerse themselves in the architectural works from near and far. The students have witnessed the diverse perspectives and cultural influences that shape identity and memories.
Before closing the exhibition, we were delighted to host a workshop with the artist which allowed our students to experiment with the techniques and processes that the artist uses in her evocative works. The students were fully engaged and inspired throughout the workshop and this experience has allowed them to develop their creativity and practical skills which are vital for continued success in the Arts subjects.
The artistic journey of Dai Xiaoman’s Exhibition spanned Chaoshan dwellings and distant horizons, and immersed LEH Foshan’s community in the aesthetic fusion of tradition and modernity. We also welcome more artists to bring their vision to the inspiring space of the Holles Gallery, where art continues to connect and inspire us all.
