Dr Karl Emmerton is a highly experienced Science teacher and educational leader with over 20 years of extensive international experience in China, Egypt, Jordan, the Gambia, and the UK. Before joining LEH Foshan, he taught in a well-known British School in Guangzhou, responsible for pastoral care and teaching general Science to students in Years 6-9, as well as IGCSE and A-level Chemistry and Biology. Throughout his career, Dr Emmerton has been dedicated to the development of Science departments, curriculum planning, and the integration of innovative teaching methods. He is passionate about extracurricular activities, having organised numerous Science and STEAM events, as well as being involved in Scouting and the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
Dr Emmerton holds a PhD in Ecological Relationships from the University of Sheffield, an MSc in Ecological Management from Imperial College, and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Brighton. He also completed a PGCE at the University of Portsmouth.
