Guangzhou, China – ISA Liwan International School is proud to announce that it has been named a finalist for
the “Secondary School International Innovation Award”
at the PIEoneer Awards 2025,
one of the largest and most prestigious award ceremonies in global education.

ISA Liwan is especially honoured to be the only school from China shortlisted in this category. The school stands alongside international finalists including GESS Singapore, Sutton Valence School in the UK, and Misk Schools in Saudi Arabia, founded by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
此次评选，爱莎荔湾成为中国大陆地区该类别唯一入围学校，与新加坡GESS国际学校、英国萨顿瓦伦斯学校、沙特王储穆罕默德·本·萨勒曼创立的Misk学校等国际名校同台竞技。
The PIEoneer Awards judging panel includes senior leaders from renowned organisations such as MasterCard, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Kaplan International, and QS. Other finalists across various categories include The University of Hong Kong (HKU), Royal College of Art (UK), and the University of Notre Dame (USA).
PIEoneer大奖评委团由万事达卡、英联邦大学协会、Kaplan必威Betway中文版集团及QS等权威机构高层组成。同期入围机构还包括香港大学、英国皇家艺术学院、美国圣母大学等世界顶尖学府。
ISA Liwan’s nomination celebrates the school’s forward-thinking educational philosophy, particularly its dynamic Innovation Centre and Permaculture Garden, launched in 2024. Developed in partnership with MIT FabLab, the Innovation Centre fosters hands-on learning in robotics, coding, and environmental research, while the Permaculture Garden immerses students in sustainable agriculture and ecological design, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
此次提名是对学校前瞻性教育理念的充分肯定，特别是2024年启用的科创中心与“农耕年华”种植园两大特色项目。科创中心与麻省理工学院 FabLab联合打造，开设机器人、编程与环境研究实践等课程；“农耕年华”种植园则引导学生践行联合国可持续发展目标，探索生态设计与可持续农业。
These initiatives have had a measurable impact on student engagement, international collaboration, and global citizenship. More than 80% of students report increased participation in sustainability and innovation projects, with a clear rise in interdisciplinary learning and student-led initiatives.
数据显示，这些项目显著提升了学生的参与度与国际视野：超过 80% 的学生增加了可持续发展与创新项目的投入，跨学科学习与学生自主倡议活动明显增长。
This latest international recognition comes during a landmark year for the school. Since September 2024, the school has over 1000 Students. Moreover, earlier this year ISA Liwan was awarded the New School Award at the China School Awards and named a finalist in the Pastoral Care category affirming the school’s strong commitment to student wellbeing.
2025年对荔湾爱莎而言意义非凡：自去年9月至今，在校生人数突破千人规模。今年学校还斩获"中国学校大奖·新锐学校奖"，并入围"学生关怀奖"终选名单，印证了全人教育的卓越成果。
David Griffiths, The Headmaster and Head of ISA International Academy commented; “To be shortlisted alongside world renowned institutions is a tremendous honour, and to be the only school representing China in our category is something we are especially proud of. This recognition reflects the shared efforts of our students, staff, and wider community.”
